FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Deep TMS work?
Deep TMS is a neurostimulation therapy performed in a series of sessions. This clinically proven treatment works by using a patented H-Coil to send electromagnetic pulses to broad and deep areas of the brain linked to mood regulation. Over time, the symptoms of your psychiatric condition should improve.
Does Deep TMS hurt?
Most of our patients find Deep TMS treatment to be comfortable. You may feel a tapping sensation on your scalp where the H-Coil is, but it should not cause any significant discomfort. At most, you could experience a minor headache, but that usually goes away after a little while.
What area of the brain does Deep TMS target?
Various areas of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) are targeted by the magnetic stimulation of Deep TMS. The PFC is a region of the brain that controls your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Our team will customize your Deep TMS treatment, so that only the structures of your brain associated with your symptoms are affected.
BrainsWay Deep TMS

The TMS Technology

At TMS Therapy Center, we proudly harness BrainsWay's Deep TMS technology to perform all of our treatments. This breakthrough neurostimulation technology boasts a patented H-Coil, which is a unique coil design that has been installed within a cushioned helmet.

  • Once the helmet is placed on a patient's head, the H-Coil works by transmitting electromagnetic pulses to different structures of the brain, activating neurotransmitters that can improve the symptoms of several mental health disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions.
